There is nothing else to name this piece of woodturning but beautiful. Found in an opshop, the bowl is large but light, and it's wall is thin and elegant. It has a straight side wall and is quite boxy in it's side profile. The timber has a knot in the bottom and the wood glows so deeply and richly in the light. It is rare to find a bowl so beautiful.
 
It has taken a lot of hand sanding to bring this piece back to it's prime and rid it of a bad layer of varnish. The bowl has been finished in food safe Tung oil.
